PRESS RELEASE: Tea Party rally moved to Statehouse Bell Room due to high likelihood of rain.
April 15, 2014
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Providence, RI - The Rhode Island Tea Party volunteers wish to notify the public and our supporters that we are moving our April 15th Tax Day Tea Party Rally to 4PM in the Sate House Bell Room as opposed to the State House lawn at 3PM. This change is in response to the very high probability of rain during the time our guests will be speaking and the change in time is due to the availability of the Bell Room on Tax Day.
"The Bell Room is a great second option due to the fact the replica of the Liberty Bell is found in this room. An appropriate symbol of the principles that make our country great and the very foundation of the Tea Party mission in present day America," said Michael Puyana, RI Tea Party President.
The Bell Room is found on the opposite side of the rotunda from the North entrance. Parking is available at the Providence Place Mall, the DOT lot, and the DOH lot. Parking is permitted after 4PM. Metered parking is also available on the street with a two-hour limit and no ticketing after 6PM.
All liberty minded citizens of Rhode Island are welcome to attend. Doors are open at 4 PM and speakers will begin presenting promptly at 4:30.
Speakers for this event:
Mike Stenhouse - RI Center for Freedom & Prosperity
Tim Jones - RI Gun Blog & Second Amendment
